celestial bodies

he breathed out moon dust and remnants of stars and his touch sent lighting bolts across my skin I wished for his lips to brush me yet what a mark it would leave

he could send hurricanes over my skin, leave bruises like plums and I would still crave the way the ground shattered beneath us when these two celestial bodies aligned

we were made for each other, you and me, that’s what the poets say but what if we fit so perfectly our atoms collided at such speeds that could rip the universe apart

tell me you don’t feel it, don’t feel the caged birds sing in your lungs as your tendons strain to drag you away, these secret lusts which drag you forth to bitten lips
